Moin from Hamburg!

And welcome to the second edition of the ALBIS PLASTIC Newsletter, which comes after a busy and well attended Fakuma. We were excited to meet and greet new and existing customers from Germany and beyond at the Exhibition which was for ALBIS and our customers a great opportunity to meet and discuss all the challenges and issues our industry faces at the moment.

For sure it is challenging times and 2019 will be an interesting year! We were delighted with the response to our first newsletter published earlier this year as well as to our new look website and we will continue to develop both areas to ensure they remain relevant for you. As always we welcome any suggestions you have or ideas for content you would like to see included.

As mentioned 2018 continues to challenge us as an industry on a wide range of issues whether it be topics such as single use plastics, WLTP, e-mobility, diesel cars etc in the automotive sector or the global shortage of PA66. We at ALBIS are trying to respond to such challenges with sustainable solutions and from our growing recycled portfolio, which includes both post consumer and post industrial recyclate products or advice on how to find alternatives/ substitutes for PA66. We have already this year had a number of successful transfers of PA66 products onto alternatives and continue to work hard with our customers to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain.

As always the Plastics industry is an exciting and developing marketplace and we look forward to working with you into 2019.
